Jérôme Chavanel – Head of R+D, ABnote Europe

Jérôme joined the smart card industry almost 7 years ago, having graduated from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble, with a Master’s degree in Engineering. His first job as an engineer involved working with RFID, long before contactless payments was on the radar for European banks.

Jérôme heads up the R+D team for ABnote Europe, having joined CPS almost 4 years ago. He divides his time between investigating new approaches to payments, ticketing and loyalty, helping customers to understand the potential of new technologies and working with internal teams to make sure these new technologies become business as usual. As fast as possible.
