Olivier Cau – Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, ABnote Europe

Having joined CPS Technologies over 14 years ago, performing a number of roles where he has been directly accountable for quality and security, there’s very little that Olivier doesn’t know about card personalisation and card manufacturing. Olivier draws on this knowledge to head up the card personalisation committee for the French cards association A.F.P.C and to direct the card personalisation strategy of the entire ABnote group.

With a Master’s degree in IT, Production & Quality he started his professional life as a university lecturer and researcher, managing private research contracts for the car manufacturing industry, working with clients such as Renault and Peugeot.

It was his visits to car production lines that took Olivier out of academic life and into manufacturing. Shortly after his first visit, drawn by the appeal of production, Olivier joined CPS Technologies. Olivier dedicates a significant amount of his time to internal communication and management of the production teams. He firmly believes that it is people that deliver a successful business, not the machines or IT systems that they use.
