
Objective
Cetelem Slovensko, BNP Paribas’s brand in Slovakia, is required to migrate its card base, in order to meet payment scheme mandates for 2011. Both Visa and MasterCard mandate that all offline capable cards issued after this date should use dynamic data authentication (DDA).
Result:
ABnote was selected to help Cetelem Slovensko with this migration. With a number of magnetic stripe cards in the market, Cetelem Slovensko took on two big changes with this project ; a shift to a new chip card base plus, a shift to chip card personalisation. ABnote helped Cetelem to implement a phased approach to their migration. First they moved their current magnetic stripe card base to the ABnote personalisation bureau. As well as personalising the magnetic stripe cards, ABnote also manages the PIN generation and PIN mailer distribution. In a second phase ABnote has begun to incorporate the chip cards. The chip cards are also manufactured by ABnote.
